[This was at Monaco, where we ended up driving to when the ticketing people at Nice decided to go on a strike and we couldn't wait for a later train.]
The cable car up Mont Blanc which Declan was underaged for.... which means I couldn't go up too.
So we ended up at Parc de Merlet and saw this deer really up close! Less than 3m away!
Had really expensive breakfast at a posh restaurant/hotel. We only decided to splurge because of what happened the night before. We checked into an apartment in a really quiet town, then got spooked by a man asking us to open the door. Decided to shift into another hotel only to find that all hotels around the area were all fully booked. By the time we stopped searching, it was 3am. So we decided to sleep in the car in a carpark next to Chateau Chambord. On the good side, the stars were beautiful. What an experience! Oh and did I mention it was 6 adults and 1 baby with luggages in a Toyota Corolla Verso?
We changed Declan's diaper in a supermarket trolley when the stink threatened to kill us all. Luckily the supermarket was closed and there weren't any people around.
Absolutely nice B&B owners although the location of the B&B was extremely hard to find! But I won't hesitate to go back again... they are THAT nice!
