Declan needs his naps... rather, I need his naps

It's been a difficult past hour. Declan has finally fallen asleep, but during the past hour or so, he has cried his way through a meal. Getting him to finish a meal is hard enough, but when coupled with his crying and shaking of head, it's downright impossible at times. I lost my temper a couple of times before re-taking a deep breath and continuing.

And why this impossibly difficult behaviour? Simple reason. He didn't take his late morning nap. Usually I try to let him take his nap at about 1030 or 1100, but today, it didn't happen because we were out having brunch. So he was sleepy and hungry, therefore the behaviour.

In conclusion, Declan needs to be home by at least 11am and 5pm every day. Or yes, I could rock him to sleep when we are outside, but all mothers know that it's near impossible to rock a kay poh baby to sleep outside.

I seriously need a timeout on days like these.

Brilliantly Beautiful... Love Story meets Viva La Vida

It's not often I come across a piece of music that takes my breath away. A piece of great music... stunningly simple yet awesomely amazingly tune that touches my heart.
Together with the obvious love and joy on the faces of these 2 musicians who clearly enjoy what they do...
Thank you for this song...

I still don't like having people hovering over my shoulder...

Declan does the Mambo!

Seriously, I think this is evidence that babies ARE influenced by what they hear when they are still in the womb.

DY listening to Retro music while Declan is still inside me = Declan enjoys Retro music too.
