Brrr... it's a cold day to be in the pool.

Realising the boy doesn't have enough water experience under his belt, we decided to bring him to Ashley's condo pool to swim. Alas, it wasn't too successful as the water was pretty cold. Nevertheless, we did manage to get some nice pictures. And I think Declan enjoyed himself somewhat... I think.

I love this pic.... I think the look's so impish. *grins*
Pity the picture isn't sharp though :(

Declan thinks water from a Sophie Bath Boat might taste better than usual.

 No fish escapes him.

Declan gives Sophie a bath.

And I think this picture is really sweet :)
Click on the picture to enlarge it and the sweetness really shows. Oh, and then you can also tell where Declan got his eyelashes from.

Halloween Part 2

So due to my colossal screwup, I organised another Halloween party at my place. And AGAIN, we forgot to take a nice pic of the boy. Sigh. What great parents he has...

Yes I'm not kidding. This is the ONLY photo we have with his full regalia. Sad right?
In case you can't tell, Declan is suppose to be a Wimbledon tennis player.

This photo was taken at Saudi Prince Gordon's home.
Upon arrival at Declan's house, he promptly refused to wear his headgear.

Angel Poppy's halo only lasted for probably all of 10min before her mom took it off as it was irritating the poor kiddo.

Little Pumpkin Sophie back by popular demand.
Mother and daughter both looking cute and adorable.

Li Xun came sans costume because her mom forgot :p

Talia the social Butterfly :)

Young Farmer Thaddeus had so many animals at his disposal.

And Declan borrowed Sophie's costume... :p

Halloween Part 1

Halloween was fun this year, despite yours truly screwing up big time. Adora had invited us to her house for a pot-luck party on Oct 31 3-5pm, but I thought it was 5-7pm! So of course by the time we got down to her place, it was 5.45pm and there were only 3 families left. Thus, the pictures below were all taken from friends who were obviously there at the RIGHT time, although some pictures were taken while the kids were still in their own homes. After all, I'm not so particular when all I want are the best pictures I can get! And sadly, we forgot to take pictures of our own boy!

Poppy masquerading as a plate of sushi

Ladybird Li Xun

My absolute fav - Liam as Luke Skywalker. Totally homemade costume!

Ethan as Tigger - check out that handsome hair.

Cedric the Ghost

Princess Ballerina Ember

Damien, Ember's big brother, came as a pirate!

The only picture of little witch Rachel with her hat on.

Bosco came as a Real Madrid player - but I have no idea which one!

And little Sophie came as a cute pumpkin :)

Product Review: 2 Squirting Fishes

Declan's daddy brought home these 2 Squirting Fishes and at first glance, I couldn't understand why anyone would pay SGD$19.90 for them! I mean, $19.90 is a little too much for bath/pool toys that don't really look that cute. Well, Declan's daddy thought it was cute, but I certainly didn't.

After a while, I realised the upside to these fishes! As the material is really maleable, these toys are truly meant for toddlers! These fishes are really easy to squeeze, such that even Declan could squeeze them. In fact, he could already squeeze them at 15 months. A few weeks back, Declan and I had a really fun time in the garden, sans pool. All I had to do was fill the fishes up with water and hand them over to him. He would squeeze the water in my direction, I would scream, and he would gurgle with laughter and delight. Oh, the beautiful sound of a child's laughter...

So I guess, Declan doesn't really care that the fishes aren't exactly that cute, or maybe it's just me. Anyhow, he loves these fishes and I guess that's all that matters.

See, he REALLY can squeeze the water out!

And here, he was trying to squirt water at me :)

Rain can be beautiful sometimes

The rainy season is here.

Rain is mainly bad for us because clothes don't dry as fast. Even worse, Declan and I get cooped up in the house with nowhere to go. And when he's fussy, it gets really bad because he can't even go into the garden. The garden is normally my saviour when fussy Declan strikes because on normal days, I can just let him loose in the garden and he will happily play with soil.

But rain can be beautiful sometimes... especially when Declan wakes up in the morning, looks out of the window, points at the rain and says Raining with a smile on his face.

Yes... Rain can be beautiful sometimes.
